King Jaymes is the debut album from songwriter Stephen Jaymes, built with mixing engineer Zsolt Virag around the soul of 1960s and 1970s music and the sonic compass of Gordon Lightfoot’s Gord’s Gold. Ten tracks that refuse to apologize for caring. The Complete Digital Collection is the whole vision, owned rather than streamed.

THE SONGS

High-definition WAV source files so clean you can hear fingers leave frets, one for each of the ten tracks, plus MP3s for everywhere else. And The Wrong Way, a bonus track you won’t find on any streaming service. These aren’t the Spotify versions. They’re the definitive masters.

THE FILMS

Three music films directed by Ross Kolton, in HD: Chief Inspector (nothing to do with the police), Tokyo (nothing to do with Japan) and Virus Vaccine (nothing to do with COVID). Everything to do with the mystical process of becoming human.

THE ARTIFACTS

The complete gatefold art. Lyrics that matter. Collages that communicate moods, mockups for projects that may have existed or may yet exist, posters, and screensavers: a visual diary of the two-year journey that led to this record, all in high resolution.

“He’s not playing a rock god, he is more like a flawed prophet for the age of collapse, whispering hard won truths into a burning wind.” (Cool Happy Genius Heroes)

“The production here is exquisite. … It is, without exaggeration, one of the finest closing tracks on a debut record in recent memory.” (Vocal Media)

“Folk punk storytelling at its finest, crafted with the kind of precision that makes every note feel intentional.” (Indie Music Discovery)
