For the official video, I wanted to capture the spooky and tawdry soap opera drama of the song and reflect it through a 70s prism. I chose the Italian exploitation film Mania! because it’s absolutely irresistible in its visuals and cultural history, and also because it’s public domain. I completely recut the film to my specifications to match the song.

You can also get a taste right now below, the result of “The Other Guy Cubed” project. The idea was to play with the optics of me being both the guy who suspects and the other guy. So if you look really closely, you’ll see that one of me has a mustache, and one doesn’t. One is wearing a white button down. The other a black shirt.
I have always loved Jungian doubling. Consciousness is constantly refracting. We see it in the world around us in this critical historical moment. Projecting our shadows onto our enemies and then attempting to control ourselves by abusing them — this is only one manifestation. Once you get into a relationship with anyone of any kind, you’re entering a hall of mirrors. After a while, you can tell which of us have lost themselves in all those reflections.
